How it works

  1. We look at the officeNetwork, backups, Microsoft 365, and how the office runs.
  2. We put the structure inSecurity, encryption, infrastructure, and a restore path.
  3. You call a technicianRemote first. On-site when that is what it takes.

Small law firm IT support without an IT department

Small law firm IT support has to cover the same duties a big firm has, with a fraction of the staff. Nobody in a five-attorney office should spend the morning fixing a printer or guessing at a security setting.

How we start

  1. A short call to learn how the firm works
  2. A review of accounts, devices, backups, and the network
  3. A short list of fixes, most urgent first
  4. Ongoing support, remote first and on-site when needed

Why the size of the firm does not lower the bar

Ethics rules do not scale down for small firms. ABA Model Rule 1.6(c) asks lawyers to make reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorized access to client information. What counts as reasonable depends on the risk and the cost, so a solo office can meet it with simple, steady controls. This is an IT view, not legal advice.

Where small firms are most exposed

Shared passwords, one person who knows the network, and backups nobody has tested. Wire-transfer emails that look like a client or a title company are another common risk. Small law firm IT support closes those gaps first.

FAQ

Is small law firm IT support worth it for a solo practice?

Often yes. One outage or one lost laptop can do more damage than years of steady small law firm IT support prevent. Start with an IT assessment and decide from there.

Do you work with firms that already have some IT help?

Yes. We can work alongside an existing person or vendor and cover what they do not.

Do you come to the office?

Yes. Remote first, on-site when the job needs hands.
